Like a lot of locations in the world, there is some high strangeness that goes on as well. Dating back to the Native tribes of North America, there are stories of the Mishibizhiw, or the Under Water Panther, that is said to be guarding sacred copper deposits, and the Great Horned serpent that is said to be a dangerous entity. Modern day, we have stories about the Lake Michigan Triangle, and the ghosts ships that sail along the lakes. Enjoy your summer trying to swim in them!
